Research Progress of Chemical Composition and Pharmacological Effects of Fructus Figustri Lucidi
Literature about Fructus Figustri Lucidi in the last decade was reviewed to provide a reference for further research and development. Seventy-five literatures were summarized according to chemical composition
pharmacological action
processing and quality control method. The main chemical components of Fructus Figustri Lucidi were terpenoids
flavonoids
phenethyl alcohol glycosides
volatile oils
phospholipids
polysaccharides
fatty acids
amino acids
and etc. It is reported that its main pharmacological effects were hepatoprotective
immune regulation
anti-atherosclerotic
anti-inflammatory
anti-aging
and etc. The main processing methods were steaming with wine
stewing with wine
stir-frying with salt-water
steaming with vinegar. Chemical composition and pharmacological effects were influenced by the processing method. TLC and HPLC were adopted as the main QC method. Fructus Figustri Lucidi was reported as one herbal tonic
which had significant pharmacological effects on degenerative disease
especially on the old. As one effective edible herbs
Fructus Figustri Lucidi should be studied comprehensively. In addition
ingredients of different polarity should all be taken into account in the further study.
