    • Technology News Broadcast: Ischemic stroke (IS), as a serious cerebrovascular disease, has always been a focus of medical attention in its treatment. At present, although intravenous thrombolysis is the main treatment method, its application is limited by issues such as bleeding risk and narrow treatment window. Therefore, seeking more effective brain protection strategies is crucial for the prognosis of IS. In this regard, research has found that the mammalian rapamycin target protein (mTOR) signaling pathway is one of the important channel mechanisms for improving IS brain injury. Traditional Chinese medicine has demonstrated rich intervention methods and unique advantages in the treatment of IS, especially in improving patients' symptoms and enhancing their quality of life. Numerous studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine can intervene and regulate cell autophagy, inhibit neuronal apoptosis, suppress oxidative stress and inflammatory response by regulating and activating the mTOR signaling pathway, thereby effectively reducing brain damage caused by IS. This provides new treatment strategies and ideas for the treatment of IS with traditional Chinese medicine, and also demonstrates the potential of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of neurological diseases. In summary, the mTOR signaling pathway plays an important role in the pathogenesis of IS, and traditional Chinese medicine has opened up new directions for the treatment of IS by regulating this pathway. In the future, the potential of traditional Chinese medicine in treating IS will be further explored and applied, bringing greater therapeutic benefits to patients.
