    • Protective Effect and Mechanism of Mori Folium Extract on Kidney of db/db Diabetic Mice

    • New progress has been made in the research on the protective effect of mulberry leaf water extract on the kidney of diabetes mice. Through carefully designed experiments, the research team found that the water extract of mulberry leaf could significantly improve the renal structure and function of db/db diabetes mice. This discovery provides a new potential drug choice for the prevention and treatment of diabetes nephropathy. During the experiment, the research team divided the mice into different groups and administered different drug treatments. By comparing the physiological indicators and pathological changes of kidney tissue in each group of mice, they found that mulberry leaf water extract can significantly reduce the blood glucose levels of mice, improve kidney function, and alleviate inflammatory reactions in kidney tissue. These effects were particularly evident in mice treated with high-dose mulberry leaf water extract. In addition, the research team also delved into the mechanism by which mulberry leaf water extracts exert protective effects. They found that the water extract of mulberry leaves can inhibit the activation of Toll like receptor 4 (TLR4)/myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88)/nuclear transcription factor - κ B p65 (NF - κ B p65) signaling pathways, thereby reducing inflammation and damage in kidney tissue. This discovery provides important clues for us to understand the mechanism by which mulberry leaf water extracts protect the kidneys. In conclusion, this study not only revealed the protective effect of mulberry leaf water extract on the kidney of diabetes mice, but also provided us with in-depth understanding of its protective mechanism. This achievement provides new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of diabetes nephropathy, and is expected to provide strong support for future drug development and treatment strategies.
