Mechanism of Modified Tianwang Buxindan on Skin of Sleep-deprived Mice Through PI3K/Akt/Nrf2 Signaling Pathway
“New progress has been made in the study of the skin effects of Tianwang Buxin Dan (MTBD) on sleep deprived (SD) mice. The study investigated the mechanism by which MTBD improves skin aging by observing changes in the skin of SD mice. In the experiment, the researchers divided the mice into different groups, simulated SD status, and applied different doses of MTBD treatment. The results showed that SD caused aging signs such as weight loss, mental fatigue, and dull fur in mice. At the same time, a series of pathological changes occurred in the skin tissue, including thinning of the skin and reduction of collagen fibers. MTBD treatment can effectively improve these symptoms, increase skin moisture content, hydroxyproline content, and superoxide dismutase activity, while reducing malondialdehyde content and inflammatory cytokine levels. More importantly, the study also found that the mechanism of action of MTBD is related to the activation of the PI3K/Akt/Nrf2 signaling pathway. This discovery provides a new explanation for the role of MTBD in improving skin aging and also offers new directions for future research. In summary, this study provides important evidence for a deeper understanding of the impact of sleep deprivation on the skin and the search for effective improvement methods, as well as new ideas for the application of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of skin health.”
