Effect of Shenfu Yixin Granules on Mitochondrial Dynamics in Rats with Heart Failure After Myocardial Infarction
“A significant progress has been made in the study of the effect of Shenfu Yixin granules on mitochondrial dynamics in rats with heart failure after myocardial infarction. This study prepared a rat model of heart failure by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery and explored the mechanism of action of Shenfu Yixin Granules through various experimental methods. The experimental results showed that compared with the sham surgery group, the heart function parameters of the model group rats were significantly reduced, and the serum brain natriuretic peptide and soluble growth stimulating gene 2 protein content were significantly increased. At the same time, pathological changes such as disordered arrangement of myocardial cells, inflammatory cell infiltration, and myocardial fibrosis were observed. These results indicate that the rat model of heart failure was successfully prepared. It is worth noting that compared with the model group, the heart function parameters of rats in the high-dose group of Shenfu Yixin Granules and the sacubitril valsartan sodium group were significantly improved. The serum brain natriuretic peptide and soluble growth stimulating gene 2 protein content were significantly reduced, and the pathological changes of myocardial cells were also alleviated. In addition, the expression levels of mitochondrial fusion protein and optic nerve atrophy protein were significantly increased in both drug groups of rats, while the expression levels of motor related proteins and fission proteins were decreased. These results indicate that Shenfu Yixin Granules can resist heart failure and improve heart function, and its mechanism may be related to adjusting mitochondrial dynamics. This study provides new ideas and methods for the treatment of heart failure, which has important clinical significance. In the future, we will continue to conduct in-depth research on the mechanism of action of Shenfu Yixin Granules, providing more effective drug options for the treatment of heart failure.”
