    • Technology News Report: A research team has made significant breakthroughs in the field of colorectal adenoma (CRA). The team successfully screened the key microRNAs (miRNAs) of CRA through bioinformatics methods, and delved into the mechanism of Xiezhuodudu Formula in preventing CRA. The research team first used the Gene Expression Profile Database (GEO) to obtain a dataset of miRNAs in the intestinal mucosal tissue of CRA patients, and screened for differentially expressed miRNAs through a series of analyses. Among them, miR-34a-5p was selected as the research subject. Further research has found that miR-34a-5p is closely related to the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, cell cycle, colorectal cancer, and other pathways. To verify this discovery, the research team conducted animal experiments. They induced a CRA mouse model by intraperitoneal injection of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) combined with azoxymethane (AOM), and intervened with a formula for clearing turbidity and detoxification. The experimental results showed that the formula for relieving turbidity and detoxification can significantly upregulate the level of miR-34a-5p mRNA in colorectal tissue of CRA mice, inhibit abnormal proliferation of intestinal epithelial cells, and promote cell apoptosis. This research achievement provides new ideas and methods for preventing CRA. By regulating the miR-34a-5p/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, the formula for relieving turbidity and detoxification is expected to become an effective drug for preventing CRA. In the future, the research team will continue to explore this mechanism in depth, providing more scientific basis for the treatment and prevention of CRA.
