    • In the field of clinical research in traditional Chinese medicine, an important achievement - the draft standard of "Clinical Evidence Metadata for Randomized Controlled Trials of Traditional Chinese Medicine" has been officially established. This study aims to standardize the collection, storage, transmission, exchange, analysis, and evaluation of data in the evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine systems, and promote the efficient utilization and rapid scientific decision-making of clinical evidence in traditional Chinese medicine. This study went through three stages of pre research, standard drafting, and soliciting opinions, ultimately forming a metadata standard draft consisting of 12 parts. Among them, the "metadata summary representation/dictionary description" section is particularly crucial, covering 6 subsets of metadata, totaling 20 metadata entities and 141 metadata elements. This detailed metadata system provides solid support for the standardized and scientific evaluation of clinical research in traditional Chinese medicine. This draft standard not only has guiding significance for traditional system evaluation and meta-analysis, but also will effectively promote the development of automatic system evaluation technology. By extensively soliciting opinions from relevant organizations and experts outside the research group, the draft has been continuously improved to ensure its universality and practicality. In summary, the draft standard of "Clinical Evidence Metadata for Randomized Controlled Trials of Traditional Chinese Medicine" established in this study plays an important role in regulating clinical research of traditional Chinese medicine, promoting objective scientific evaluation and effective utilization of clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, and laying a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry.
