“Recent studies have found that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is closely related to type 2 diabetes (T2DM), and the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSC) is the key to its development into liver fibrosis. The theory of "ointment turbidity" in traditional Chinese medicine reveals the pathological essence of HSC activation, providing new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of T2DM combined with NAFLD.”
