Combined Therapy of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for Hepatitis B Virus Infection: A Review
增强出版
“Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is the primary cause of viral hepatitis and a heavy disease burden in China. However, there is currently a lack of drugs that can efficiently and safely eradicate HBV DNA. The main targets of modern medical anti HBV therapy are covalent closure of circular DNA, and various new drugs are also being studied in clinical trials; Traditional medicine has been proven to have anti HBV effects through direct pathways such as inhibiting virus invasion and indirect pathways such as regulating programmed cell death. Research has confirmed that the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of HBV infection and its related complications has the advantages of complementary strengths and weaknesses, especially in improving HBV clearance rate, enhancing liver function, preventing various complications, and delaying the progression of liver fibrosis to liver cancer. This review mainly focuses on the research progress of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in combating HBV infection, aiming to provide a basis for the development of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in combating HBV and new drug research.”
