Le manuscrit de Dunhuang "Fuxing Jue" centre sa théorie de composition des formules sur la "Carte de la méthode des décoctions liquides", sa théorie médicinale comprend principalement les principes "d補泻 des cinq éléments" et "d除化 basée sur les cinq éléments". Sur la base du diagnostic de虚实 des cinq organes, il utilise de manière flexible les propriétés du corps, des usages et des saveurs pour le traitement补泻, constituant une méthode unique d'administration des formules. Dans la maladie de Taiyin, les symptômes "pi证" sont souvent associés à la "diarrhée", ces deux sont les principales indications des formules du type Lizhong : la formule Lizhongwan (décoction) vise la虚 du Taiyin, les décoctions Sanxiexin Tang (Banxiaxiexin Tang, Gancao Xiexin Tang, Shengjiang Xiexin Tang) traitent la虚 du Taiyin avec邪实, les formules Sini Tang et Tongmai Sini Tang traitent la diarrhée due à la dysfonction du foie, de la rate et des reins, ainsi que des troubles des valves. Les composants des formules Lizhong contiennent principalement les saveurs piquant, doux et amer, agissant directement sur la rate Taiyin. Le piquant disperse la rate, le doux la tonifie, l'amer élimine les pi证. Après unification des unités des composants, le ratio piquant/doux reflète l'intensité補泻 des formules. De plus, les deux méthodes de décoction "cuisson courte pour extraire l'énergie" et "cuisson longue pour extraire la saveur" influencent l'efficacité補泻. Cet article discute des différences dans le traitement des symptômes "pi证" et "diarrhée" par les formules Lizhong, basées sur les composants et les méthodes de cuisson. Une dysfonction de la rate entraîne diverses maladies, ainsi les formules Lizhong ne se limitent pas au traitement des syndromes de虚, froid et humidité, mais sont modifiées par la suite pour traiter les syndromes de实, chaleur et sécheresse, posant une base solide pour une utilisation clinique plus flexible et efficace.
