Resumo

O câncer colorretal (CRC) é um dos tipos de câncer mais comuns, com alta incidência entre vários tipos de câncer, sendo a segunda principal causa de morte por câncer em todo o mundo. O CRC apresenta falta de sintomas específicos nos estágios iniciais da doença, e a maioria dos pacientes é diagnosticada em estágios intermediários ou avançados, sendo um tema de pesquisa importante na área de tumores do sistema digestivo. Atualmente, o tratamento cirúrgico do CRC apresenta alto risco, com problemas comuns como metástases, recidivas, resistência a medicamentos e efeitos adversos significativos da quimioterapia e radioterapia. Com o desenvolvimento e aplicação da medicina tradicional chinesa, descobriu-se que as ervas chinesas e seus componentes ativos podem inibir efetivamente a proliferação, invasão, migração e angiogênese das células CRC por meio de mecanismos multitarget, multietapa e multifuncionais, promovendo a apoptose e autofagia celular, retardando assim a progressão do CRC, o que é o foco atual das pesquisas de tratamento do CRC. Salvia miltiorrhiza (Dan Shen) possui efeitos de ativação da circulação sanguínea e eliminação de estase, desbloqueio dos meridianos e alívio da dor, purificação do coração e alívio da inquietação, resfriamento do sangue e eliminação de abscessos, contendo diversos componentes químicos, incluindo diterpenos, ácidos fenólicos, flavonoides, polissacarídeos, bem como compostos nitrogenados, esteroides e lactonas. Este artigo revisa os mecanismos moleculares dos componentes ativos do Dan Shen contra o CRC, que atuam por meio de vários mecanismos moleculares, incluindo a inibição do ciclo celular do CRC, promoção da apoptose, inibição da invasão e migração celular, indução da autofagia, supressão da angiogênese tumoral e remodelação do microambiente tumoral, com o objetivo de fornecer novas ideias para o desenvolvimento de medicamentos e para a prática clínica do tratamento do CRC com Dan Shen.
