Er Chen Tang es una fórmula clásica ampliamente utilizada por médicos a lo largo de las generaciones. Este documento organiza sistemáticamente la literatura antigua y moderna, utilizando métodos bibliométricos para examinar el origen, el significado de la fórmula, el origen botánico y procesamiento de los medicamentos, el método de decocción y la aplicación de Er Chen Tang. Se recopilaron 84 documentos relacionados, de los cuales 58 fueron seleccionados después del filtrado, cubriendo 53 textos antiguos. Se realizaron estadísticas, análisis y procesamientos de las literaturas obtenidas, junto con investigaciones modernas. El estudio descubrió que Er Chen Tang proviene del "Taiping Huimin He Ji Ju Fang", compilado por la Oficina Imperial de Cirujanos de la dinastía Song.
