El accidente cerebrovascular es la principal causa de muerte y discapacidad en adultos en China, con una alta tasa de incidencia, discapacidad, mortalidad y recurrencia. El potencial de la medicina china tradicional para el tratamiento y las secuelas del accidente cerebrovascular es enorme. El famoso fármaco clásico de la medicina china, Da Cheng Qi Tang, ha sido utilizado durante mucho tiempo y ha demostrado ser efectivo en el tratamiento del accidente cerebrovascular. En la práctica clínica, Da Cheng Qi Tang se utiliza comúnmente para tratar el accidente cerebrovascular y sus secuelas, pero se necesita mejorar la cantidad y la calidad de los ensayos clínicos de Da Cheng Qi Tang para el tratamiento del accidente cerebrovascular, y su investigación básica es débil. Los componentes efectivos no están claros, y el mecanismo de acción de múltiples objetivos no está claro. El equipo de investigación ha demostrado anteriormente que Da Cheng Qi Tang puede revertir eficazmente el daño neurológico y reducir la acumulación de hierro, así como reducir los niveles de citoquinas proinflamatorias en ratas con accidente cerebrovascular hemorrágico. El documento resume 45 componentes químicos de plantas principales de Da Cheng Qi Tang, de los cuales 11 son componentes sanguíneos confirmados, y entre ellos, la emodina, el ácido emódico, el emodina glucósido, el aloína emodina, el sinvergüenza, el hesperidina, la naringina, el hinokiol, y el hinokiol pueden servir como marcadores de calidad (Q-Marker) para Da Cheng Qi Tang.
