Investigation on Inhibition of Gastric Lesions by Fuling Decoction
The investigation has shown that Fuling decoction (FLD) has and Excellent protective effect on drug-induced gastric lesions when orally given at dosages of 500
1000 and 2000mg/Kg (P<0.05 or P<0.01). FLD at high dose appears to be better than cimetidine for hydrochloric acid-induced model and absolute ethyl alco-hol-induced model. However
it is not as good as cimetidine for aspirin-induced model. The investigation indicates that the protective effect of FLD to gastric mucosa might be more important than the inhibition to secretion of gastric acid.
