Study on Hemodynamic Effect and Compatibility Proportion of Chinese Herbs with Reinforcing Qi, Warming Yang, Activating Blood and Promoting Diuresis in Treating Rabbits with Heart Failure
Objective:To study the effect of traditional Chineses herbs with reinforcing qi
warming yang
activating blood and promoting diuresis in improving hemodynamic abnormity in rabbits with heart failure
then to decide their best compatibility proportion. Method: Seventy-two rabbits were randomly diveded and equally into 9 Chinese herb groups
digoxin group
model group and sham-operated group. Rabbit model of pressure overloaded heart failure was induced by costricting abdominal aorta. According to L9 (34) orthogonal design
all groups were given corresponding traditional Chinese compounds. Digoxin group was given digoxin. model group was given saline. Hemodynamic parameters of left ventricular were detected through carotid artery cannula ten days later. Result: Carotid systolic blood pressure(SBP)
carotid diastolic blood pressure(DBP)and left ventricular systolic pressure(LVSP)in Chinese herb groups and digoxin group increased significantly
compared to model group and sham-operated group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).±dp/dtmax
+dp/dtmax in Chinese herb groups(1-4
7-9) and digoxin group increased significantly
compared to model group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). But±dp/dtmax and+dp/dtmax in Chinese herb groups(5
6) and sham-operated group compared with model group
there was no significant difference. Left ventricular end diastolic pressure(LVEDP) and-dp/dtmax of every group were insignificantly differenet. Conclusion: Herbs with reinforcing qi
warming yang
activating blood and promoting diuresis can improve hemodynamic abnormity and systolic function of rabbit model with heart failure
delay the development of heart failure. The best compatibility proportion of four kinds of herbs might be 4∶2∶1∶4
