Influences of Weiweikang and its Components on the G Cell and D Cell in Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Rats
Objective: To study the possible mechanism of Weiweikang (WWK) on treating chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG). Method: Randomly selected 12 rats from 70 wistar rats were as normal control group(normal group).The remaining 58 rats were made CAG model with the multiple stimulations for 6 weeks.The remaining 50 rats which were modeled successfully were randomly divided into five groups such as model group
WWK whole formula group (the whole formula group)
its component group (Buyi group)
component II group (Quxie group) and western medicine control group (western medicine group).The groups were ig 0.9% saline(0.09 g·kg-1)
WWK decoction(8 g·kg-1)
component I(5.5 g·kg-1)
components II(2.5 g·kg-1) and the neomycin-dimensional suspension (0.3 g·kg-1)
once a day.After 90 days
the gastric mucosa pathological changes were observed
the change of G and D cell in gastric mucosa was detected. Result: There was no marked difference in gastric mucosa pathematology between the whole formula group and the normal group.Compared with normal control group whose G cell was (63.54±6.73) cell/mm2 and D cell was (38.32±3.87) cell/mm2
G cell of model group with (24.46±3.39) cell/mm2 and D cell of model group with (14.66±1.57) cell/mm2 decreased significantly(P<0.01).Compared with model group
the other medication groups had a significant increase of G and D cell(P<0.01);Compared with the whole formula group with G cell: (56.66±5.70) cell/mm2
D cell: (34.72±4.01) cell/mm2
the Buyi group
Quxie group and neomycin-dimensional suspension group decreased significantly (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion: WWK can significantly repair gastric mucosa in rats with CAG and its mechanism may be actualized by improving the gastrointestinal hormone's regulating effects on stomach.
