Objective: To conduct quality standard study of Angelica megaphylla in a large reservoir area focused on the establishment of ferulic acid assay method. Method: Chromatographic conditions: TSK-GEL DDS-C18(4.6 mm×150mm
5 μm); mobile phase: methanol-water-phosphoric acid(30: 70: 0.3); flow rate: 1.0 mL·min-1; detection wavelength: 320 nm; column temperature: 40 ℃. Result: Ferulic acid was linear in the range of 0.006-0.15 μg
and the linear regression equation was: Y=4 564 754X-3 882.699(r=0.999 9).ferulic acid in ten batchs of A. sinensis was determined in 0.09-0.33 mg·g-1. RSD was 1.26%. Conclusion: The method for determination of ferulic acid and the limit developed is simple
fast and accurate
reproducible
can effectively control the quality of A.megaphylla
