Objective: To establish the quantitative analysis method for adenosine

cordycepin and ergosterol in Cordyceps sinensis by HPLC. Method: HPLC was performed on Diamosil C18 column(4.6 mm×250 mm

5 μm); the mobile phase consisted of methanol and water at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1.The column temperature was set at 30 ℃

and the eluate was detected at 260 nm. Result: Quantitative analysis of HPLC showed that the linear ranges of adenosine

cordycepin and ergosterol were 0.032 2-0.805

0.015 4-0.385 and 0.084 3-2.107 5 μg respectively.The average recoveries of adenosine

cordycepin and ergosterol were 98.94%(RSD 1.16%)

99.73%(RSD 2.19%)

99.55%(RSD 2.02%)respectively. Conclusion: The method set up is accurate

feasible and reliable

therefore available for the quality control of C. sinensis.
