Objective:To study the intervention with Mahuang Xixin Fuzi decoction on kidney-yang deficiency mice model infected with influenza virus and provide a scientific basis for clinical application. Method: kidney-yang deficiency model mice were established through intraperitoneal injection of estradiol benzoate(8 mg·kg-1 body weight)

and normal control group. Mice were inoculated with mice lung influenza virus FM1 by intranasal to establish the mice model of influenza disease with kidney-yang deficiency. After infection the mice were treated for 6 d

mortality and survival time were observed. Comparing the lung index. Inflammatory lesions of the lung tissue were observed with HE staining lung tissue sections. The level of serum interferon-γ(IFN-γ)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Result: Compared to the model group

different dosages of Mahuang Xixin Fuzi decoction could reduce the mortality of infected mice

Conclusion: The efficacy of Mahuang Xixin Fuzi decoction for the prevention and treatment of the disease has been proved by the obvious improvement of physiological status and significant alleviation of the pathological impairment of lung tissue on the model mice which can provide basic evidence for clinical use this decoction in influenza disease.
