Therapeutic Effects of Astragalus Saponin on Rats with Atrophic Gastritis and MyD88, TLR4 Receptor
Objective: To observe the therapeutic effects of astragalus saponin on rats with atrophic gastritis (CAG)
and on myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88)
Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4) receptor. Method: The rat model of atrophic gastritis was established with synthesis method.Then saline
astragalus saponin(14.93 mg·kg-1) and sucralfate(360 mg·kg-1)were given orally after the modeling rats were sacrificed after 10 weeks and 15 weeks
and whole stomach was collected to observe whether there were intestinal metaplasia
pseudo-pyloric metaplasia
atypical hyperplasia under the microscope
the expression of MyD88 and TLR4 was detected. Result: Astragalus saponin had a therapeutic effect on rats with atrophic gastritis
the occurrence of intestinal metaplasia
pseudo-pyloric metaplasia
atypical hyperplasia significantly reduced
at the same time
the expression of TLR4 and MyD88 decreased significantly compared with blank group and sucralfate group
higher expression of superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity in astragalus saponin group was found. Conclusion: Astragalus saponin can prevent the activation of MyD88
TLR4 receptors and improve the activity of SOD
it has a therapeutic effect on atrophic gastritis.
