Objective: To investigate the prevention effect of modified Alismatis Rhizoma decoction (MARD) on hyperlipidemia in rats. Method: Wistar male rats were fed by high fat diet and treated with MARD of small dose

lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] in rats. Result: A significant difference between the model group and the MARD groups on the weight of rats. Each MARD group showed significant inhibition on the rise of TC

LDL-C. The HDL-C
ApoAⅠ were increased significantly

lp(a) were significantly decreased by MARD. Conclusion: MARD has obviously prevention effect on hyperlipidemia in rats.
