Comparative Study on Characteristics of Infrared Spectra from Four Different Cultivated Strains of Amomum Villosum
Objective: The comparative analysis of chemical constituents from four different cultivated strains of Amomum villosum was carried on in order to provide references for the research on approbation and variety breeding. Method: The characteristics of infrared spectra from four different cultivated strains of A. villosum were compared and analyzed by conventional fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy combined with fourth derivative spectrum. Result: Four cultivated strains of A. villosum samples showed similar infrared absorption in the two bands of 750-1 800 cm-1 and 2 700-3 500 cm-1
and their infrared absorption spectra had no significant differences by the fourth derivative spectrum changes in comparison. Conclusion: The infrared spectra of the four cultivated strains of A. villosum are basically the same and the structure of the chemical composition is similar.
