Determination of Encapsulation Efficiency and Investigation of Release of Kushenin Sterically Stabilized Liposomes
Objective:To determine encapsulation efficiency of kushenin sterically stabilized liposomes (Kushenin-SSL)
and investigate its in vitro release law. Method: Kushenin-SSL was prepared by ethanol injection method
Kushenin-SSL and free kushenin were separated by Sephadex G-50 column
encapsulation efficiency was determined by HPLC.In vitro release law of Kushenin-SSL was investigated by the second method of dissolution in the 'Chinese Pharmacopoeia’(2010 edition). Result: Average encapsulation efficiency of Kushenin-SSL was 83.57%
in vitro release curve of Kushenin-SSL conformed Higuchi equation. Conclusion: Encapsulation efficiency of Kushenin-SSL met requirements of the 'Chinese Pharmacopoeia’(2010 edition)
