Sixty-two Cases of Essential Hypertension with Yin Deficiency and Yang Excess Treated by Supplementing Qingnao Jiangya Tablets
Objective: To observe the clinical effects of supplementing Qingnao Jiangya tablets for treatment of essential hypertension (yin deficiency and yang excess). Method: One hundred and twenty-four patients with essential hypertension were equally and randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Both two groups were given conventional non-drug therapy. The control group was given captopril orally 25 mg tid
and the treatment group was supplemented by Qingnao Jiangya tablets 5 tablets tid. Course of treatment were 8 weeks. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP
DBP) before treatment
4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment were monitored. Inteleukin-6
8(IL-6
IL-8) and high-sensitivity C protein (hs-CRP) before and after treatment were detected. Result: SBP and DBP in treatment group at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05
P<0.01). IL-6
IL-8 and hs-CRP of both groups were lower than those before treatment
and the treatment group were lower than the control group (P<0.01). In the treatment group
the symptom curative effect and blood pressure control were better than those in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: The Qingnao Jiangya tablets have good clinical effects for treating essential hypertension (yin deficiency and yang excess type)
