The Research on Dose-effect Relationship of Maxing Shigan Tang in Relieve Fever
Objective:To investigate on temperature and prostaglandin E2(PGE2) contents in plasma of rats with endotoxic fever in Maxing Shigan Tang
and found the dose-effect relationship. Method: Sixty-six rats were randomly divided into 11 groups
of which with 6: control group
model group
dose 1-dose 9 groups. The control group was injected normal saline
the other group with endotoxin; dose groups were administrated with Maxing Shigan Tang of different doses. ΔTmax and thermal response index(TRI) were observed. The levels of plasma PGE2 was determined. Result: Compared with control group
dose 1-dose 9 group could depress ΔTmax and TRI significantly. The effect had dose-effect relationship and showed many twists and turns. In addition
Maxing Shigan Tang could lower the level of PGE2 with dose-effect. Conclusion: Different doses of Maxing Shigan Tang have antipyretic effect of dose-effect relationship for the many twists and turns to fever rats.
