GC-MS Analysis of Chemical Constituents of Volatile Oil from Leaves and Stems of
Objective:To analyze and identify the chemical components and compare the chemical constituents of volatile oil from leaves and stems of Glycosmis parviflora
providing scientific basis for its further research. Method: The essential oil was extracted by steam distillation. The constituents were separated and identified by GC-MS. The relative content of each constituent was determined by area normalization method. Result: 38 and 36 compounds were identified respectively in the volatile compounds of leaves and stems
accounted for 92.28% and 80.57% of total essential oil. Conclusion: The chemical constituents of volatile oils were different between the leaves and stems
but the relative content of caryophyllene was the highest in the essential oil both.
