Therapeutic Efficacy of Revised Maziren Pill for Treating Constipation Caused by Opium Alike
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Revised Maziren Pill (RMP) for the treatment of intestinal constipation caused by opium alike. Method: Sixty-six subjects with intestinal constipation caused by opium alike were randomly divided into two groups
33 patients in the treatment group administered with RMP
33 in the control group administered with aetulose liquo. Then the clinical symptom scores
quality of life
defecation interval
the time of each defecation
stool form
the dimensions of the difficulty for the defecation and so on were evaluated before treating and after 2 weeks of treating. Result: Treatment group showed improved clinical symptom and quality of life
and relieved difficulty. Treatment could shorten interval
the first time of defecation and the time of each defecation
relieve the difficulty for the defecation
and so the effectiveness in the treatment group was better than that in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: RMP can release constipation induced by opium alike and pain effectively
