Influence of Zibu Piyin Recipe on Expression of Hypoxia Inducible Factor-1 after Spinal Cord Injury in Rats
Objective:To study the effect of Zibu Piyin Recipe (ZBPYR)on spinal cord injury and the influence on expression of hypoxia inducible factor(HIF) -1α. Method:Thirty-six adult Wistar rats were divided into six groups randomly:sham operated group
positive control group(hydergin
0.6 mg·kg-1)
ZBPYR low
middle and high dose group(7
14
21 g·kg-1)
SCI group. The rats were killed at 72 h post-injury. The expression of HIF-1α and HIF-1α mRNA was detected with RT-PCR and Western-blot assay. Result:At 72 h post-injury
the expression of HIF-1α and HIF-1α mRNA in SCI group were higher than that in the other groups (P<0.05)
and the expression of HIF-1α and HIF-1α mRNA in ZBPYR high
middle and low dose group were different statistically (P<0.05). Conclusion:The ZBPYR could improve the function of neurons though improving oxygen-deficiency in local spinal cord tissue after injury.
