Content Determination of Quercetin and Kaempferol in Silkworm Powder by RP-HPLC
Objective: To establish assaying methods for the determination of quercetin and kaempferol in Silkworm Powder. Method: The content of quercetin and kaempferol was determined by RP-HPLC
using a KromasiL-C18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm). The column temperature was fixed on room temperature. Methanol-0.4% phosphoric acid (50: 50) was used as mobile phase
flow-rate was 1.0 mL · min-1.The detecting wavelength was set at 360 nm. Result: The linear range were 0.012 5-0.4 μg (r=0.999 8) and 0.014-0.448 μg (r=0.999 9). The average recoveries were 97.53% and 100.3%
with the RSD of 1.9% and 1.0%. Conclusion: The method established is rapid and accurate
which could be used for quality control of Silkworm Powder.
