Objective:To determine the conversion rate of baicalein of S. baicalensis and S. baicalensis decoction pieces from different factories
and study the processing quality of S. baicalensis decoction pieces. Method: The content of baicalin and baicalein of S. baicalensis and S. baicalensis decoction pieces from different factories was determined. The content of baicalein after ultrasound combined with self-enzymolysis was determined by calculated respective conversion rate of baicalein. Result: The conversion rate of baicalein of radix scutellariae was 81.1%. The conversion rate of baicalein of S. baicalensis decoction pieces processed by pharmacopoeias method was 5.3%. The conversion rates of baicalein of S. baicalensis decoction pieces from different factories were 76.3% and 73.0%
