Objective:To synthesize and characterize hyaluronic acid grafted octadecyl (HA-C18) amphiphilic polymer. Method: HA-C18 polymer was prepared by acylation reaction with carboxyl group of hyaluronic acid and amine group of octadecyl
chemical structure of(HA-C18 polymer were determined by FTIR analysis.Self-aggregation behavior of HA-C18 polymer was evaluated
and critical aggregation concentration was determined;With intravenous accessories of Tween 80 and Cremophor EL as references
hemolysis of HA-C18 polymer was evaluated. Result: The critical aggregation concentration of HA-C18 copolymer was 10.0 mg·L-1.Hemolysis of HA-C18 micelle was far lower than Tween 80;But hemolysis of Cremophor EL was slightly lower than HA-C18 micelles
but their difference was not obvious. Conclusion: HA-C18 copolymer could be used as a novel injectable drug carrier for poor water soluble drugs.
