Studies on Chemical Constituents of Effective Fraction of Honeysuckle on Inhibition of Biofilms
Objective:To study the effective fraction and compounds from Honeysuckle on inhibition of bacterial biofilms. Method: The micro-plate method was used as bioassay-guided and compounds were isolated from effective fraction by repeated silica gel column chromatography. Research their effect of bacterial biofilms. Result: The ethanol extract fraction was active site and 15 compounds were obtained from it. Soya-cerebrosideⅡ ( 1 )
5-o-cafffeoyl quinic acid butyl ester ( 2 )
ginnol ( 3 )
sweroside ( 4 )
7-epi-vogeloside ( 5 )
stearyl ( 6 )
octacoylalcohol ( 7 )
protocatechuic aldehyde ( 8 )
protocatechuic ( 9 )
cinnamic acid ( 10 )
caffeic acid ( 11 )
ursolic acid ( 12 )
quercetin ( 13 )
oleanolic acid ( 14 )
ferulic acid ( 15 ). When the concentration was 1 g·L-1
the inhibition rates of compound 4
5
12 were 36.16%
37.16% and 46.18% separately. Conclusion: Compound 1 isolated from Honeysuckle for the first time. The compound 4
5
12 had certain inhibition on bacterial biofilms of Escherichia coli biofilms.
