Objective:To optimize extraction technology conditions of total flavonoids from residues of Stevia rebaudiana. Method: With yield of total flavonoids as index

Result: Influence of various factors on yield of total flavonoids were in order of solid-liquid ratio>extraction time>the concentration of ethanol>extraction temperature. Optimum extraction technology was:reflux extracted 3 times with 20 times the amount of 80% ethanol at 80 ℃
extraction time of 2.5 h
yield of total flavonoids of 4.21%. Conclusion: This optimized technology was simple
reliable and safe with low cost
and it benefited to rational utilization of S. rebaudiana resources.
