HPLC Simultaneous Determination of 7 Components in Shuanghuangqudu Tablets
Objective: To establish a method for the determination of gallic acid
berberine hydrochloride
aloe emodin
rhein
emodin
chrysophanol and physcion in Shuanghuangqudu tablets. Method: The HPLC system consisted of a ZORBAX SB-Pheny Dimensions column(4.6 mm×15 cm
5 μm)
methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid as mobile phase (using gradient) with flowing rate 1.0 mL·min-1 and detected at 310 nm. Result: The linear ranges of gallic acid
berberine hydrochloride
aloe emodin
rhein
emodin
chrysophanol and physcion were 0.12-2.4 μg (r=0.9999)
0.11-2.2 μg (r=0.9999)
0.015-0.3 μg (r=0.9998)
0.02-0.4 μg (r=0.9998)
0.008-0.16 μg (r=0.9999)
0.013-0.26 μg (r=0.9998)
0.006-0.12 μg (r=0.9999)
respectively
and the average recoveries (n=9) were 100.97%

100.56%
respectively. Conclusion: The method is simple and repeatable
which can be applied to determine seven ingriedients at the same test condition in Shuanghuangqudu tablets.
