Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the determinetion of naphthoquine in antimalaria drug Artemisinine Naphthoquine Primaquine Tablets. Method: The assay was performed by a Diamonsil ODS C18 columm(4.6 mm×250 mm

5 μm)and a mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.25% diethylamine with radio of 23∶77(pH 2.5

adjusted with phosphoric acid)

and the flow rate was 0.8 mL·min-1.The wavelength of detector was set at 342 nm and the column temperature was maintained at 25 ℃. Result: Naphthoquine has a good linearity in the rang of 0.16-0.8 μg (r=0.999 9)

and the average recovery was 99.56%with RSD of 0.32%(n=9). Conclusion: The method was simple

accurate and suitable for the determination of naphtoquine in Artemisinine Naphthoquine Primaquine Tablets.
