Objective:A HPLC method was established for the determination of berberine hydrochloride

baicalin and wogonin in Yankening Pian. Method: Shim-pack VP-ODS(4.6 mm×250 mm

5 μm) column was used with the mobile phase of methanol-acetonitrile-water

which was adjusted to pH3.0 by 0.1％phosphoric acid solution and triethylamine by gradient elution. The flow rate was 0.8 mL·min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 265 nm. Result: The HPLC method showed a good linear relationship in the range of 3.838-115.1 mg·L-1(r=0.999 8)for berberine hydrochloride

15.51-465.2 mg·L-1(r=1.000 0)for baicalin

7.005-210.1 mg·L-1(r=1.000 0)for wogonin. Recoveries for the three components were all above 98％. Conclusion: The methods is simple

accurate and repeatable

which can be used for the quality control of the tablets.
