Correlation Analysis between Color and Effective Constituents'Contents of
Objective: To explore the correlation between the color and the contents of effective constituents
including chlorogenic acid and galuteolin
in Lonicera japonica . Method: High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC) was applied to determine the contents of chlorogenic acid and galuteolin in L. japonica from different habitats
collecting periods and processing methods. The colorimeter was applied to determine the color of L. japonica. Result: The color index L* of L. japonica mainly showed a negative correlation with chlorogenic acid while no correlation with galuteolin. Conclusion: The obtained method in this study may give insight to quickly estimate and predict the content of chlorogenic acid.
