Preliminary Study on Relevance between Chemical Components in Hunaglian Jiedu Decoction and Adsorption and Screen Separation Theory of Macroporous Resin
Objective: To investigate inherent relevance between primary effective ingredients in Hunaglian Jiedu decoction and theory of adsorption and screen separation about macroporous resins under aqueous solution system of Chinese herbal compound
and to lay experimental basis for improvement of dosage forms about Hunaglian Jiedu decoction. Method: 11 type of commercially available macroporous resins were selected to carry out static adsorption and desorption experiments. The dynamic contents change of three categories of index ingredients including alkaloids
flavonoids and iridoid glycoside were compared before and after purification by RP-HPLC. Result: Both adsorption and desorption rates of three categories of primary effective ingredients in Huanglian Jiedu decoction by different macroporous resins had remarkable differences.X-5 and AB-8 resin had both higher adsorption and desorption rates for alkaloids with weaker polarity and bigger particle size; X-5

NKA-9 and D151 resin had a better enrichment effect for flavonoids with bigger surface area and pore size;X-5
S-8 and NKA-Ⅱ resin had better enrichment effect for iridoid glycoside with bigger average pore size
while ADS-7 and D151 resin had the same effect with stronger polarity. Conclusion: In aqueous solution system of Chinese medicine compound
using resin combination could optimize separation process of target products.
