Content Determination of Piperine in Shiwei Shoushen Powder by RP-HPLC
Objective: To establish a feasible method for the content determination of piperine in Shiwei Shoushen powder by RP-HPLC. Method: An HPLC method was adopted with column Kromasil-C18(4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm).The mobile phase was consisted of methanol-water (77:23).The flow velocity was 1.0 mL·min-1.The detection wavelength was at 343 nm. Result: The calibration curve showed a good linearity with in the range of 0.448-2.24 μg.The average recovery was 99.43%. Conclusion: This method is convenient
rapid and reliable for quality control of this preparation.
