Effects of Bukangling on Hematopoietic Function in Radiation-injured Mice
Objective: To study the effects of Bukangling on hematopoietic function in radiation-injured mice. Method: Fifty mice were randomly divided into five groups:control group

medium and low dose group of Bukangling. 9

36 g·kg-1 of Bukangling were ig given for 10 days after they were radiated by60Co γ. The others were given normal saline. Peripheral blood routine was measured at the 5th and 10th day after radiation. DNA content
quantity of nucleocyte in bone marrow and (CFUs) in spleen were observed at the 11th day after radiation. Result: The number of peripheral blood routine was lower after radiation
but was higher after administration of Bukangling in medium and high doses group. DNA content was (1.05±0.27)

the quantity of nucleocyte in bone marrow was (5.12±1.22)
(6.01±1.35)×106/L. The number of spleen nodules was (7.67±1.56)
(8.52±2.12)
they significantly increased in the midium and high doses compared with the radiation group(P<0.01). Conclusion: Bukangling can promote the recovery of the blood cells in bone marrow in radiation-injured mice.
