Total Flavonoids Determination of by Ultraviolet Spectrophotometry
Objective: A method for the quality control of Nervilia fordii was developed
and the quality of 14 batches of N. fordii purchased from different markets was investigated. Method: Rutin and AlCl3-HAc-NaAc(pH 5.5)system were employed as reference substance and chromogenic reagent
respectively
the total flavonoids of N. fordii were measured by UV spectrophotometry at the 405 nm. Result: The linear relationship of rutin was in the range of 0.007 28-0.030 8 g·L-1(r=1.000). The average recovery was 99.78% (RSD 1.94%). The range of the amount of the total flavonoids of 14 batches of N. fordii was 1.25%-3.12%. Conclusion: This method was proved to be simple
quick
accurated
stable and reliable
and it could be used to determine the total flavonoids of N. fordii.
