Chemical Constituents of Volatile Oil from Flowers of
Objective: To study the chemical constituents of the volatile oil from the flowers of Camellia sasanqua. Method: The volatile oil was extracted by steam distillation and was identified by GC-MS. The composition of the volatile oil was determined according to peak area normalization method. Result: Ninteen components were separated and all compounds were identified from the flowers of C. sasanqua. Conclusion: Chemical constituents of the volatile oil from the flowers of C. sasanqua include organic acids
alkane
terpenoids and its derivatives. The main constituents were hexadecanoic acid (25.154%)
