re-crystallization. Their structures were identified on the basis of physiochemical properties and special analysis. Result: Twelve compounds were isolated from methanol extracts of Bergenia scopulosa and their structures were identified as: β-sitosterol (1)
daucosterol (2)
(+)-catechin (3)
gallic acid (4)
arbutin (5)
bergenin (6)
4-O-galloylbergenin (7)
11-O-galloylbergenin (8)
pyrocatechol (9)
syringic acid (10)
quercetin (11)
rutin (12). Conclusion: Compounds 8-12 were obtained from this plant for the first time.
