Objective: To ananlyze the chemical constituents of the volatile oil from Sweet Broomwort Herb in Guangxi and determine their contents. Method: The volatile oil was extracted from Sweet Broomwort Herb by steam distillation

the amount of the components from the volatile oil was separated and identified by GC-MS

and the relative content of each component was calculated by area normalization method. Result: Fourty nine compounds were separated by GC and 30 of them were identified

which accounted for 93.97% of volatile oil. The major components were 2-pentadecanone
