Cytotoxic Effect of Components Formula of Three Garlic Components on Three Human Gastric Carcinoma Cells
Objective: To investigate the killing effect and determine the optimum proportion of compo-nents formula of three garlic components on three human gastric carcinoma cells. Method: With three garlic effective parts (garlic oil
garlic total polysaccharides
garlic total saponins) as the research object
group and administration in orthogonal test were designed according to L16(45) orthogonal chart. MTT activities of human gastric carcinoma cell metabolism were used as indexes and data were analyzed by SPSS software. Result: The killing activity of three garlic effective parts is oil (1#)> polysaccharides(2#)> saponins(5#). The optimum proportion of three garlic components on MKN45 cells was 1#:2#:5#=1:20:10. There was no significant difference of three garlic components in affecting the inhibition rate on AGS cells. The optimum proportion of three garlic components on AGS cells was 1#:2#:5#=1:13.3:3.3.Garlic total saponins(5#)had significant effect on the inhibition rate of HGC-27 cells(P<0.01). The killing activity of three garlic effective parts was saponins>oil>polysaccharides.The optimum proportion of three garlic components on HGC-27 cells was 1#:2#:5#=1:200:50. Conclusion: Three human gastric carcinoma cells had different sensitivity to the killing activity of three garlic effective parts. The optimum proportions of three garlic components to three human gastric carcinoma cells were also distinct.
