Determination of Preservatives in Shedan Chuanbei Mixture by HPLC
Objective: To bring forward a method of determining 6 preservatives in Shedan chuanbei mixture and figure out the state of quality of preservative in this mixture. Method: A ODS Hypersil C18(4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm) column was used with menthol-0.025 mol·L-1 sodium phosphate monobasic as the mobile phase under condition of gradient elution. The detection wavelength of benzoic acid was at 228 nm and the detection wavelength of sorbic acid and parahydroxybenzoate esters were at 258 nm. Result: All the 6 preservatives were completely separated
the average recovery was in the range of 99.2%-102.04%. Conclusion: The method can be used to control the quality of Shedan chuanbei mixture
