Objective: To investigate the content of microelement in Gardeniae Fructus from different habitats. Method: The content of Fe

Mg
Zn
Cu contents in Gardenia Fructus was determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). Result: The results showed that the recovery rate was between 95.05%-97.89%
the relative standard deviation (n=6) was between 1.66%-2.87%. Conclusion:The method was quick
simple with high sensitivity. It is a reliable method for the determination of the microelements in Gardenia Fructus.
