Study on the Dynamic Variation of Juglone Content in the Leaves and Fruits of
Objective: For reasonable development and utilization of the resource of Juglans mandshurica
the dynamic variation of juglone content in the leaves and fruits collected in different months was investigated. Method: Juglone content in the leaves and fruits of Juglans mandshurica was determined by HPLC. Result: Juglone content in the fruits (1.93 mg ·g-1) was more than that in the leaves (0.30 mg ·g-1). Juglone content in the leaves increased with the growth of leaves
and decreased with the withered of leaves. Comparing with the immature fruits
juglone content in the ripe fruits decreased obviously. Conclusion: Juglone content in the immature fruits was the highest.
