Determination of Total Flavonoids in the Seeds of by HPLC
Objective: To develop a HPLC method for the determination of total flavonoids in the seeds of Impatiens balsamina. Method : An Eclipse XDB-C18 column (4.6 mm×150 mm
5 μm) was used at 30 ℃ with the mobile phase of methanol-0.4% phosphoric acid (55 ∶45). The detection wavelength was 365 nm and the flow rate wsa set at 1.0 mL ·min-1. Result :The linear response range for quercetin
kaempferol and isorhamnetin were 0.111 2-0.556 0 μg (r=0.999 4)
0.007 711-0.023 23 μg (r=0.999 4) and 0.006 69-0.033 45μg (r=0.999 2) respectively. The average recoveries were 98.5% (RSD 1.3%
n=6)
97.3% (RSD 1.7%
n=6) and 97.6% (RSD 1.6%
n=6). Conclusion : The method could be used for determination of total flavonoids of the seeds of I. balsamina.
