Objective: To observe the effct of slight depression treated by Flupentixol and Melitracen tablets and Peiyao. Method: The patients with slight depression were randomized into treatment group(35 cases)

treated by administration of Flupentixol and Melitracen tablets for oral taking and Peiyao for external application

and control group(35 cases)

treated by administration of Flupentixol and Melitracen tablets for oral taking.The therapeutic effect and score of Harmilton Depression Scale(HAMD) were observed in the both groups. Result: After a course treatment

the scores of HAMD in the both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01); in the treatment group 26 cases were excellent

5 cases were effective

the total effective rate was 88.57%; in the control group 25 cases were excellent

5 cases were effective

the total effective rate was 85.71%.The effects of the both groups were not significant difference.However the scores of HAMD after the first、second and fourth week treatment of the treatment group were significantly better than of the control group(P<0.01 orP<0.05)

after the six week treatment

the scores of HAMD in the both groups were not different. Conclusion: In the treatment of slight depression

Melitracen tablets and Peiyao treatment may make more quicker effect and has higher compliance.
